Experience

Since its incorporation in 1956, The Daniels Co. has undertaken and successfully completed numerous projects, nearly all of which were carried out on a turnkey basis where Daniels assumed complete responsibility for design, engineering, fabrication, erection, and start-up of the facility.

In recent years, many major projects have been awarded to The Daniels Co. Generally, these contracts involved work in the following areas:

  • "turnkey" construction of complete coal preparation facilities using conventional construction techniques.
  • Modification and renovation of existing coal preparation facilities to increase throughput or improve performance.
  • Design and installation of bulk storage, reclaim, and load-out facilities including batch-weigh unit train loading systems.

The following different process circuits have been used in the preparation plants.

  1. Coarse Coal
    a. Heavy Media Vessel b. Jigs (last one built in 1988)
  2. Heavy Media Cyclones
