The Daniels Heavy Media Vessel separates materials by specific gravity with the lower specific gravity material “floating” and the higher specific gravity material “sinking” to be removed by a drag chain flight conveyor.  The Daniels Vessel typically can handle a top size of up to 8 inches (200mm), process coal down to ¼ inch (6mm) and is made in various sizes with alternative liners to match required process conditions or customer requirements.
