Daniels’ client was having trouble meeting raw coal production targets with the existing coal preparation plant circuitry.  The client hired Daniels on a turnkey basis to evaluate the current plant equipment and flowsheet and recommend and install the optimum process solution for the client.  Daniels recommended that the client replace the existing jig water only cyclone circuitry with a heavy media vessel, heavy media cyclone, and spiral circuit.  These modifications were all done around the client’s operating schedule requirements.  The project met raw coal production requirements, improved the plant yield substantially, and also stabilized the plant product quality meeting all of the customer’s requirements.
